The Heart of Our Ministry

The heart of our ministry is Discipleship.

“When they came down the slopes of the mountain, the disciples stood with Jesus on a large, level area, surrounded by many of His followers and by the crowds – a great throng of people . . .” Luke 6:17

The church can draw crowds, and there are many who follow Christ. But there are very few true disciples.

Our desire is to help fellow Christians learn how to move from crowd – to follower – to disciple.

What is a Disciplemaker?
A disciplemaker is a disciple who walks in intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and shares the truths of that relationship with others who desire a closer walk with their Savior.

The Apostle Paul is a great example of a disciplemaker. In Philippians 4:9 he exhorted those he had been discipling to put into practice all they had learned, received, heard and seen while walking with him in a discipleship relationship.

“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me – everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9

Discipleship Principles:
. . . a process of discovery while in relationship with Jesus
. . . discipleship needs to be: intentional – relational – accountable
. . . discipleship is not to facilitate a passion for knowledge, information, or methodology, but a passion for relationship
. . . relational discipleship requires total surrender
